    Confronting Competition and Negotiated Cooperation——Concepts of Interest Group in Pluralism and Corporatism

    The author maintains that Pluralism and Corporatism are two important theories about interest groups.The core idea of concept of interest group of Pluralism is confronting competition,while the core of Corporatism lies in cooperation through negotiation.The essence of the debate between the two lies in a choice of confrontation or cooperation,conflict or order.These two concepts of interest group may shed light on how China can deal with the issue of interest group.The author suggests that we take the advantages of both to solve problems concerning interest groups through competition and negotiation.

    Non-governmental Democracy: Breakthrough of Construction of Democracy in Contemporary China

    "Democracy in non-governmental form" refers to various forms of democracy which do not reflect government authority, such as autonomy of villagers, congress of workers and staff, democracy in administration of communities and associations.Compared with "governmental democracy",the defining features of non-governmental democracy are direct,endogenous and autonomous.Due to certain historical and practical conditions,development of non-governmental democracy grows ahead of the governmental democracy in China.The author points out that this form of democracy is highly appraised,but should not be over appraised;and that non-governmental democracy may serve as a breakt hrough in the construction of democracy in contemporary China.
