Both Marxist political economy and western economics take capitalist market economy as the study object The former regards market economy as an organism, while the latter regards market economy as a mechanism These two kinds of economics are two different paradigms and two different discourse systems At present, Chinese Economics is the socialist market economics of China, which adapts to the needs of the development of the socialist market economy with Chinese characteristics Chinese Economics should not only study the problem of “where to come from”and “where to go”of socialist market economy, but also study the problem of “how to run the market economy” The operation principle of market economy is the intersection of Chinese and Western Economics In the new era, we should implement“elimination”, “transformation” and “transplantation” techniques on western economics, and“Chinize”it, so that it can be used correctly in the study of China's socialist market economy, serve for China's Economic modernization and development, and serve for the establishment and development of China's Economics

The new political economics is a branch of social science that addresses issues concerning the interrelated and overlapping problems, phenomena and relations between politics and economics, society and individual, and state and market as well. This branch of science is equal to neither politics nor economics, for it is a combination of both. It attempts to apply a synthetic approach of analysis based on various methods of social sciences. The new political economics has immerged at a time when world economy becomes increasingly integrated and liberalized, while politics and sovereignty of various countries are highly independent, which is an evidence that the Western economics and politics could no longer meet the needs of the development of capitalist market economy. Under the current circumstances economics or politics alone is not sufficient enough to explain contradictions between politics and economy, state and market. Therefore, according to the new political economists, political aspects should be taken into considerations while dealing with economic problems, whereas it is advisable to resort to economic methods when analyzing political affairs.

This paper considers the two new theories in microeconomics:the theory of consumer choice under uncertainty and its developments. and recent developments in market theory. In developments in the theory of choice under uncertainty. fanning indifference curves rejects independence hypothesis of the expected utility model. preference reversal refutes the assumption of preference transitivity. In the development of market theories, the theories of new entry and perfectly contestable market have been developed.
