Proper Understanding and Interpretation of Marx’s Theory of World History

The author holds that globalization has inserted profound and lasting influence on human life and social development. In this sense, it is of important theoretical significance and practical value that we re-study Marx’s theory of world history in order to understand properly the trend of globalization and contemporary development of the society. For this end, the author points out, it is necessary that controversial issues in the study of the theory of world history by Marx be explained and interpreted. Meanwhile, we may take globalization as a point of departure to further comprehend the theory of world history in order to broaden up our research perspectives, and reinforce comparative studies of globalization theory at home and abroad in order to establish a link between the essential spirit of Marxist theory and the reality.
