    CHEN Jian , WANG Zhuo
    Teaching and Research    2005, (9): 56-60.
    Abstract1170)      PDF(pc) (1425KB)(1564)       Save
The author points out that under circumstances of economic globalization, the Chinese economy and the Japanese economy have become so closely linked that one is heavily influenced by the other. In this sense, economic cooperation between the two will contribute to guarantee and extending strategic opportunities in favor of China, and will promote regional economic cooperation as well. Strengthening economic cooperation with Japan will result in mutual benefits, which may lessen the conflicts and disputes in politics, diplomacy and national feelings of the two peoples toward each other.

On “the Chinese Aspects” in Self-Recovery of Japanese Economy
    CHEN Jian, WANG Zhuo
    Teaching and Research    2004, (9): 40-45.

The author points out that Japan’s economic recovery can be accounted for by both domestic and international factors. The demand from the international market, especially that of China, is the most important factor that had led to this recovery. Japanese economists have generally agreed that rapid economic development in China is irreversible and that if this trend continues it will benefit not only China but also Japan by opening more opportunities in favor of her economic recovery.

On International Campaigns against Dumping and China’s Choice of Countermeasures
    CHEN Jian
    Teaching and Research    2001, (3): 15-22.
    Abstract1231)      PDF(pc) (1151KB)(1694)       Save
What WTO advocates is fair and free competition in the market, but dumping can destroy these justified competitions. Since WTO started to function in 1995, the anti dumping treaties signed in its name has become a means to regularize world wide legislation process for anti dumping campaigns. In recent years, with the rising tide of economic globalization and free investment, anti dumping campaigns have come to perform the important role of maintaining justice in international trade and guarding against unfair competitions. As a result, the number of anti dumping cases increases, and a large number of them are directed against China, making China the major target of anti dumping campaigns in the world. Obviously, it is of utmost importance for us to investigate causes for the anti dumping cases against China and work out countermeasures accordingly in order to maintain rapid development in trade.

Two Supporting Means of APEC—ree Investment in Trade and Technological Cooperation in Economy
    Chen Jian
    Teaching and Research    1999, (1): 61-66,80.
    Abstract1070)      PDF(pc) (945KB)(1703)       Save
This article maintains that free investment in trade and technological cooperation in economy are two supporting means of APEC. Free investment in trade was set as an aim of APEC in 1993 at the Seattle Conference. A timetable of it was written in an APEC declaration of 1994. And in 1995 a detailed plan for putting it into practice was agreed on at the Osaka Conference. As APEC becomes more and more aware of the importance of technological cooperation in economy, relevant areas and contents of technological cooperation were illustrated in depth in the "Osaka Agenda" in 1995. This is a programmatic document for members of APEC to carry out technological cooperation in economy.
