As an item of living necessity, the residential house falls into the category of inflexible commodity within certain range of price. When the suppliers of residential houses realize this, they tend to reduce the amount of supplies through coordination and thus raise the price with the purpose of gaining more profits. Then the curve that indicates the supply will become negatively skewed.Under such circumstances, because of the imbalanced demand and supply, the price of the houses may rise continuously. To check this trend, the government should make policies to interfere with the price in light of a balanced demand and supply of residential houses.

Micro-mechanism to Cope with Insufficient Demands of Consumption——Analysis and Optional Strategies
BAI Bao-li, LIU Fan, WEI Jun
    Teaching and Research    2005, (6): 15-20.
    Abstract1228)      PDF(pc) (2633KB)(1663)       Save
Insufficient total demand of consumption is a headache amid the imbalanced macro-economic situation in China. A micro mechanism to cope with this imbalance is through market pricing of the salary. Two characteristics of the labor market are observed. One is excessive supply of labors, the other is monopolistic demand of labors. This leads to a low price of labor with the consequence of insufficient demand on consumption. To solve this problem, a series of reforms need to be implemented on the marketing system with the purpose of constructing harmonious society.

This article intends to discuss means of intensifying the theory on value of labor. The issue is approached from the point of view of methodology by referring to developments in natural sciences. The author attempts to clarify three elements of the concept of value from the perspective of connotation identified as three research objects. From the perspective of denotation of the value theory, on the other hand, the author advocates a theoretical transition from the specific to the general. Ideas of all modern schools of value theories are integrated with an intention of establishing a substance oriented six level system of theories on value.
