以对话机制凝聚多元性——新世纪美国价值教育发展的新趋势

Abstract:

The development of American value education in the new century indicates a new trend: from the past as a relatively independent and universal field to now being integrated with civic education, and the aim of value education also shift from imparting specific values to cultivating participatory citizens of the democratic society. It uses dialogue mechanism which condenses diversity as the core to reconstruct the goals, contents and methods of value education, which has already made significant progress for the recognition of fundamental political values and political system of the United States by its citizens. However, American values education itself still exists some controversies and unsolved problems as the philosophical basis of it is liberalism which distinguishes public values from private values. These problems will gradually unfold as time goes on, and the development prospects of American value education in the new century needs to be evaluated in practice.

摘要:

新世纪美国价值教育的发展呈现出一种新趋势,从过去作为一个相对独立且具普遍性的领域转向与公民教育相融合,旨在从传授特定的价值转向培养民主社会的参与式公民。它以对话机制凝聚多元性为内核,重新构建了价值教育的目标、内容和方式,在公民对美国基本政治价值和政治体制的认同方面取得了明显的成效。但由于这种价值教育的哲学基础是自由主义将私人价值和公共价值二分的理论,因此,美国价值教育自身还存在着一些争议和尚未解决的问题。这些问题随着时间的深入推进会逐渐显露出来,美国价值教育在新世纪的发展前景还有待实践来检验其成败得失。
