摘要： 英国学派与美国学派作为当代西方国际政治经济学的主要学术流派存在共同的局限性和不足，英美文化约束、西方中心主义、基础理论薄弱与学科边缘化是突出表现。当代国际政治经济学是政治学与经济学相互融合交叉发展的产物，可以区分为微观国际政治经济学与宏观国际政治经济学两个构成部分，其学术分野仍然处于演变之中。当代国际政治经济学前沿发展表现在四个方面：学科专业化与体系化，学科内部分工和新分支学科不断产生，科学主义与经验主义演变特征显著，与其他学科的融合交叉及新兴交叉学科形成及演变。以中国为代表的新兴经济体学者作为推动国际政治经济学的新兴力量需要承担起学科重构与理论创新的历史责任。
