Key Breakthrough Paths of Digital Technology Enabling the Highquality Development of Manufacturing in China

摘要: 制造业是立国之本,强国之基,其高质量发展事关国家核心竞争力与安全。本文基于产品创新视角,通过历史考察指出历次工业革命的核心基础始终在于制造业,这种历史规律在数字经济时代呈现出新的特征:制造业的数字化转型更加凸显了数字资本品的战略地位,更加有赖于行业特定的生产实践经验,更加注重制造业自主研发的融合性与整体性。由此决定了我国制造业高质量发展面临的双重使命:一方面要加强数字资本品的自主研发,另一方面要完成传统制造业的数字化转型,而关键突破路径在于使二者相互促进、协同发展,推动重大工程与产品工艺攻关,推进制造业自主创新与全面协同发展,实现制造业创新的本土化、多样化。

Abstract: Manufacturing is the foundation of a country's national strength. Its highquality development is highly related to national core competitiveness and security. Based on the perspective of product innovation, this paper indicates that the foundation of all industrial revolutions has always been manufacturing. This historical law presents new characteristics in the era of digital economy: the digital transformation of manufacturing highlights the strategic position of digital capital goods, relies more on industryspecific practices in production, and requires integration and integrity for independent R&D. This determines the dual mission for the highquality development of China's manufacturing: it is necessary, on the one hand, to strengthen independent R&D of digital capital goods, and on the other hand, to complete the digital transformation of traditional manufacturing. A breakthrough path is to make them coordinated with each other, promoting major engineering construction and products' technological innovation, advancing the comprehensive, coordinated and independent innovation in manufacturing, while realizing the localization and diversification of manufacturing innovation.
